One year after Adobe buys frame.io – a software company that makes collaborative video production software with the same name – for $ 1.275 billion, today Adobe announces that subscribing to Cloud Cloud will include access to frame.io. According to Verge, the new version of the popular Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects application will display frame.IO built-in as part of a single software suite. Apart from the addition of frame.io components, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects are also equipped with their parts of new features and visual changes.
Adobe also confirms that add-on frame.io will come with a 100GB storage dedicated to it. In addition, this software also supports media upload directly to cloud up to five active projects. This media can then be shared with other team members. According to Adobe, the advantage of this service is that it will let users access files from Premiere Pro and After Effects without having to use separate file transfer services.
Regardless of the ability to share files and data among members of the remote team, frame.io also provides access to frame.io camera to the cloud – add-on which automatically uploads the file directly to the cloud right after the videographer presses the “Stop” button. With a fast internet connection, these files will be available to edit without delay – and more importantly, they no longer need to worry about transferring it manually by removing the SD card in their camera. For a bigger team, this basically means recording available to edit even when the cameraman continues to work on other recordings. This feature can be a grace for people who work in multi-person settings and want a fast settlement time for their project.
As mentioned earlier, frame.io services have started to glide into creative cloud users throughout the world. If you already have a creative cloud subscription and don’t see the option, all you need to do is update the application and enter the review with the frame.io panel using your Adobe ID. Another way to achieve the same results – without the need to update to the new version of Creative Cloud – is to install the frame.io panel separately or just by entering the frame.io web app directly through app.frame.io.
In addition to the frame.io side panel, Adobe also makes some visual changes for Premiere Pro. This includes an update that is needed for the visual aspects of the import and export screen. Adobe said the updated import window now displays the selected asset that makes the storyline image appear. The import window also gives users the ability to import media as individual assets. This process is made even faster by the fact that users can be a favorite media location that is often used.
Additions for changed export modes include refreshed ways, more intuitive to directly post projects that are resolved to platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. Video settings are also automatically optimized for each platform, depending on the selected destination. Apart from this, Premiere Pro now allows users to upload videos directly to FTP sites and social platforms, with the option to post personally to be reviewed before airing. For a bigger team, all of these workflows can be adjusted, provide greater control over the sequence of events. In addition, users now get the ability to apply automatic color correction to the premiere, which will almost certainly make life easier for new users.
For Adobe After Effects, the updated version finally presents original support for Apple Silicon. Adobe claims this version will reach three times faster at M1 Mac – which must be translated into a much better user experience forward.
